Last Ride Before Estes!
It started raining so we rode in the Volunteer. We also got the share list and I have my boy Hoover and I'm sharing with a Indian Warrior. The ride was a little rough at firsy because i ran into someone when practicing because my pair's horse got scared of the chariots in the white. Otherwise it went well. I rode point and 2-4 because we only rode two drills. So I assume those are my spots for show.

Inside Ride! 6/14/16
My second ride went quite well. I made it on time and the weather was fairly good. I groomed Hoover even if he was grumpy at me. We rode in the Volunteer because the arenas were still muddy. I rode point, 2-4. and 4-4. All the drills were really good. I'm both excited and nervous for Estes

First Summer Ride! 6/7/16
The ride started off at a stressful start when there was both a bad storm rolling in and an extremely bad accident involving semis which caused horrific traffic which resulted in me and another Crimson rider that we were driving to be late. We got there 30 minutes late and the storm ended up thankfully passing. My teammates were extremely helpful and got Hoover saddled in like 5 or 6 minutes. Since the storm cleared we rose in the Western. I did quick pivots and stretches with Hoover before getting on. We did a quick warm up which was interesting. We again had only Steve. For the first drill I was a point and then 2-4 which both went well. I was then called a point and then called into first four as 3-1 which took me by total surprise. We also got flags before the last drill. That drill went a little rough because some girls kept pushing at us to go when their were horses in front of us and snapped at us at parts of the drill. Besides that I think Hoover and myself did good considering the drill was a bit of a rookie drill as Steve put it.

Interclub 2016!
I volunteered at Interclub on Sunday and stayed all day. I basically helped lined the kids up and escorted them to the horses. I had tons of starbursts. There was an incident with Stretch during Nighthorse because the rider's hat fell off when Stretch was freaking out and then the flag boot broke which caused the flag to be stuck underneath him and he ran over a posse member. Everyone ended up okay, though I'm still worried for Stretch and if this incident will make him be afraid to take a flag again. The rest of the drill went well and I took Hoover home at the end of the day.
Last Ride Before Summer! 6/4/16
Saturday was sooo hot!! But fun nonetheless! I had batons at 9 and we practiced for the Tack Swap. I couldn't go to the extra practice at 1 because of CR. I had my walkthrough at 11. I was point, 4-4 and 4-6. I actually got to stretch Hoover before the ride because he wasn't in a class. He was very grumpy because he was out of practice. Crimson went super well. We only had Steve there and we got to listen to music. When I was 4-6 Hoover rocked it. He galloped and stayed up really well. We've made so much progress. We are still a little shaky on our new out but we're getting it. I watched Royal. They rocked out some great drills and i loved their music. I then watched the first hour of my friend in red chariots. I then went home.

Almost Summer Schedule! 5/29/16
I had my normal schedule this week. I started the day off with a JI at 10 on Cisco which was interesting. That horse does not know slow. Then I took a lunch break, and went down to the horses at 12, Hoover ended up being in a class so I just waited around and watched him and Nighthorse ride outside. Crimson was interesting because some of the owners were renting because of possible strangles in the herd (which came back negative). We also rode with flags. For the first drill I was a second section point but then a girl fell off during propeller and I became a point replacement as 3-2 which went well, The second drill I was 2-4 and the third drill I was 2-2. There was also changes to the drill, Instead of going out of star into Salute Wedges, the wings going out at GE turn and follow the wings at OGE and we go out, It's pretty simple though I'm a little bummed we no longer do our cool salute. Overall it was a good ride with three good drills. I then had an Estes Park meeting after which just went over everything. After the meeting I watched my friend's liberty at 3 and took Bingo home, Who of course got scared of his own mane when I pulled out a clump of hair, I honestly don'y think he could have lived in the wild lol.

Back To Posting
Aaack! I promise I'll update frequently during summer, (which just started!) My westernaires life has been going good! We've had some crazy weather recently and Crimson has been doing well and so has Hoover. Last week kinda sucked since I had baton pictures and I had to miss Crimson. Team pictures went well, it was nice to be back in the costume. We recently we're given the Grand Entry drill for Western Heritage, it's pretty simple. Estes is coming! Ahhh! I can't wait! Two more rides before summer schedule!
